Why haven't I heard anything yet??

Hi am going slightly insane whilst waiting to find out if I was successful at a recent teaching interview.
Interview was last Thursday and I was told they had more candidates to see the next day and that a decision would be made late Friday pm - because of this I was told I would find out yesterday.
I've heard absolutely nothing. I e-mailed my contact this morning and also have had no reply to this.
What can be going on??????????

Are you in England and teach anything other than PE or Classics? You were likely unsuccessful (because no one right now lets good candidates go) and you can thank your lucky stars you didn't get accepted because the school doesn't value its (potential) staff if they can't even do the courteous thing and let you know.

If you're anywhere else, things may be different.
