Absolutely horrendous day thinking about giving it in not even a year after I started

I've had such a horrendous day in school today and already thinking this environment isn't right for me I don't think I can deal with the pressure, chaos and backstabbing fakeness any more.
My role is a lunch lady and a TA with ks2 children . I've been spoken to truly awfully today by staff and just had enough I've not even been there a year yet! It's meant to be one big team ethos and in reality it's far from that absolutely dreading tomorrow and having to deal with certain staff members. Not much to this just need to vent because I don't know where my head is at the moment with this role.

I'm sorry you're having to put up with this. If it makes you unhappy, start looking for other options. There are plenty of schools out there with a lovely team spirit - negativity wears you down so much.

@Mumwithbaggage thank you for responding. I'm majorly considering it thing is my children also go to the same school so it makes so ideal for where we live in our village.

No job is worth that amount of hassle. It’s not as if it’s a brilliant wage either. If your children are there, that might cause extra pressure points if it hasn’t done so already.

I would start looking for other roles (or maybe the same role in another school?) I know this may be easier said than done.

Good luck. Hope you feel better tomorrow. Just a week until the Easter break when you can reassess your options.

Sounds like you’re in a toxic school - I’d get out and find somewhere that appreciates you.
