Anyone made the switch from classroom teacher to TA? I think I would be looking to go from secondary to primary…multitude of reasons.
What qualifications are required? Are teachers exempt from taking TA qualifications? Will the grass really be greener in terms of working hours etc?
l’m burning out currently in my role.

No qualifications needed but you might be bored and very very underpaid.

Not sure why you would want to do this?

Unless, you don’t want the pressure that comes with teaching? I’m sure you’d be bored shitless though! Also, the pay isn’t great neither.

Echoing the posters above, TA work when you are a qualified teacher is soooooo boring and frustrating, and the pay is terrible! Could you not go part-time or consider tutoring?

I've gone part time. Don't work on a Friday. Get Wednesday morning PPA which I do from home.

Made a massive difference to my mental health. Big loss in my pay I'm UPS3
