Having taken sick leave (due to stress and anxiety in current post, lack of support in my early career) and handing in notice to resign from my teaching job, I’m in a position now where I’m starting to build myself back up and will be looking for new teaching posts for the upcoming academic year…
How badly does taking sick leave/quitting a teaching position look when applying for new jobs?
I don’t know how much detail about attendance is shared with new employer and I’m just worried about not getting another post if they think you are unreliable not finishing the school year.
I’m not sure what reason to say for leaving current job after 18 months.. should you give an honest answer about not receiving enough support?
