Has anyone used Schoolspeakers.co.uk

I just went on there to scope a speaker for next half term and some of the bios on there are completely fabricated. Not to mention badly written, it makes me worry it's a scam. Although there are some reviews on there, surely they check the credentials of their speakers?

Any experience on here?

No, we have used Speakers for Schools in the past with great results.

I almost never use paid speakers at all and I’ve organised a lot. There are so many people out there willing to give their time for free or whose employers are willing to pay to send them into schools at no charge that I’d always use a charity or free speaker rather than an agency.

What topic do you need a speaker for and what part of the country are you in?

If you have the budget for paid speakers this is a good agency, I have booked via them many times and all been good, some excellent. And happy to help out when a speaker let us down at short notice.

I had very good experiences of Speakers for Schools, which was set up by Robert Peston. It's only available for state sector, and is free. Top class speakers, but.you are supposed to be limited to one per academic year. I did manage 3 one year.

They definitely look more professional. Thank you. The prospect of a speaker telling children they could be sold to pay for gin certainly isn’t something I’d like to take on! Alongside the rest
of the bad copy just makes me think it’s written by bad AI or something.
