Would the finance department be annoyed with me for this?

The other day I had to attend a training session in Bath. I last min ordered my tickets. My worry is that finance are going to be pretty peed off that I had to pay £100 for my tickets. Whereas if I got them earlier it would have been much cheaper!

I actually contemplated not even submitting my tickets for a reimbursement because they might be annoyed.

what do I do??

Presumably the training was to benefit your students in the long or short term?

Is your school run for the benefit of your finance department? Even if they are annoyed (and it's not like it's coming personally from their pockets) then who cares?

If you were told you had to attend the training, then definitely submit for reinbursment!

Obviously the OP should ask for the tickets to be reimbursed, but the finance department should care because the OP has spent much more on tickets than she needed to.

That means that that money incurred unnecessarily can't be used for other things. Schools aren't so well-funded that they can afford to waste money in this way!

You submit your costs but acknowledge u need to do better next time
As you would with your own money
