Just reading yet another thread moaning about their child's teacher for doing their job 🙄 and feeling even happier that I've left the profession!

Left in July after 12 years at the chalkface. Enjoyed the summer and starting the job hunt now, hopefully to find something administrative for January and I'm finally starting to feel like myself again.

God help anyone still contemplating their exit, and God help anyone with a child still in education.

I know exactly how you feel, although I'm still in teaching (until next summer at least, when I've a career change planned).

At the moment, scrolling down through AIBU and Chat page, there's one parent complaining that they don't like the itinerary that is planned for a Spanish trip (never mind the countless unpaid extra hours and effort that the teacher must be putting in to organise it, another complaining that their child received negative feedback on a parents evening and another complaining because their teacher clearly seats children with special needs together so that the TA can help them. I really have to restrain myself from writing long rants on each of those threads.

And at least 3 threads from teachers thinking about leaving...

I can't imagine what next Sept is going to look like.
