Am I being paid correctly?

Is M6 currently £38810? The salary for September 2023 is listed as £41333.

My pay slip states the lower amount....is that correct or should the latest increased amount (£41k) be there?

Confused!!

Outside of London scales.

M6 is now £41333 from September. This includes the recent 6.5% pay rise we got this summer. I am on M6 and get that payment. It's possible your pay will get back dated, as perhaps your school hasn't yet applied the pay rise, but I would definitely clarify with the school business manager. If you are on M6, you should definitely be getting paid £41333.

Our Business manager has said The increase hasn't yet been signed off ( I think it is still somewhere in the House of Lords!so we can't be paid it yet. Probably in Decembers pay packet but backdated to September.

Usually backdated once it's been approved and gone through governors. We usually get any pay rise in November or Decembers pay. Nice little extra boost!

Same as this.

PP are conflating two elements of your pay.

The increase of 6.5% is a national change to teachers' pay scales under STPC and has to be ratified in Parliament. This will likely be in early November. Some academies may have already begun to pay this but maintained schools cannot yet.

Governors of individual schools have to sign off on any pay progression which is awarded as part of the performance management process. PM reviews are usually happening around now.

Both elements will usually be confirmed in time for November, possibly December, pay, when backdated pay to September will be included.
