Leaving shortly after a school has paid a transfer fee

How bad would this be? I’m a TA and got my job via an agency. The school paid a transfer fee for me (although I did have to wait 12 weeks for the transfer to go through and I read schools don’t need to pay after this timeframe). Anyhow I asked the business manager who said they did indeed pay some sort of fee for me.

Anyway my issue is it’s just too far and I could get a job closer to home very easily. This would save me a lot on fuel. Is this just a bit naughty considering they’ve just paid a fee? I don’t think I’ll have the brass neck to go through with it but the thought of paying out for all this unnecessary fuel is eye watering. Plus being released for potential interviews will just be awkward won’t it?

What would you do?

Thanks.

I would probably stick it out a year.

I’ve already left 🤦‍♀️.

Starting a new working from home post next week. 28k a year. No fuel or paying for before/after school clubs. I just had to go for it and think of me for a change.
