There are only 3 jobs advertised on my local council website. No shortage here it seems - Stoke, North Staffs.

You can work this out by viewing the vacancies on the gov site by location, then applying the ‘primary’ filter.

Anecdotally I know of some urban Birmingham schools who are not fully staffed for September.

Is there a correlation between number of vacancies and cost of living? In many parts of the country, a teacher’s salary is just not enough to live on
