I have so much empathy for teachers. I did a placement in a SEMH school while I was training which overall was a very positive experience. I'm a MH practitioner. I work in really difficult conditions but there are consequences to dangerous and unpredictable behaviour. I feel supported by my colleagues and parents don't get much input if there is violence and aggression, we lead the plan but we will ask their opinions. We lead the intervention. Teachers don't get this parents aren't supporting them to correct behaviour. They don't have any power when the parents are enablers.
I'm someone who works with the most challenging and difficult behaviour and I couldn't be a teacher. I respect you so much and thank you for teaching my DD.
There are parents out there who respect you for what you do and the conditions you are up against.
