...when it's eventually agreed? Is there any way to try to get the old school to pay me? Thanks

Do you mean the pay rise for this accademic year?

RBKB · 11/05/2023 09:44

Yep- the 22 to 23 one- I mean the 1k payout...if we still get it! Assume I will miss out which is annoying

@RBKB - all the teaching unions have rejected the £1k payout and 4.3% rise proposed back in March. The Government were expecting schools to fund most of the rise out of their budgets. Industrial action is ongoing. Are you in a union and taking part in the strikes for fair pay?
Hopefully, when a settlement is finally agreed, you'll receive the payrise in your new school.

@GinJeanie yes totally aware and yes I have been striking. I assumed the 1k was related to 22-23, in which case I will lose it- is it due to be awarded in Sept, if agreed?

It hasn't been accepted.

Hayliebells · 14/05/2023 15:25

It’s not going to be awarded in September, so I definitely wouldn’t worry about that. It has been rejected, it wasn’t an open ended offer, it was an “accept it now or lose it offer”, which was not accepted. Quite right too, hopefully if more unions join us on strike in the Autumn, there will be an improved offer. If an improved offer includes a lump sum payment, you’ll get that wherever you’re working.

RBKB · 14/05/2023 15:29

@Hayliebells thank you. I'll be voting to strike again...agree this is far from over....

That pay rise, as others have said, was rejected, so no-one will get it.

You should have had the 5%(ish) for this academic year, though?
