Grievance against governors

Just wanted to ask for some views on how to go forward on this. A year ago my school was ofstedded. I am the senco and comments were made on the parent view about send and about me personally. Although send got a good grade the inspector spoke to governors and me about this. They appeared to be fairly baseless complaints. I was really upset about this but the head said nothing to worry about - parents with an axe to grind. Even the ousted inspector said he was bringing to my attention but we didn't need to do anything. Governors however put together a letter for send parents essentially asking for complaints about me and confidential meetings so they could complain about me.
My union got on it and threatened them with a grievance so they dropped it but I have found it really difficult to let this go and it has really affected my mental health. The head is very weak and was going to go along with this so I feel I have no back up with my difficult role.
I actually want to go ahead with a grievance or at the very least email the chair of governors and tell her how this has affected me and my mental health. Does anyone have any advice on how I should approach this? Thanks

You might be best off seeking union support. This seems like slander if I have understood correctly. Your head is a snake. The culture seems toxic. Not sure how you fight this but well done for hanging in there and for your good contribution to the Inspection.

That's really awful!! SEND nearly always gets negative feedback from ofsted parent view as you will always have disgruntled parents. It's very ignorant of the governors as they should know that SEND in a school is everybody's job and not down to just the SENCO.

It's slander and it's also outside of their remit and totally unfair! Your headteacher is sitting back and letting you be the scapegoat.

I would absolutely raise a grievance. Ex SENCO here. There are going to be no more SENCOs left at this rate as they really do have to absorb all the anger towards a failing system which should be directed elsewhere.
