Just that really.

I cannot for the life of me work how how my employer has worked out the deduction!

Sorry I can't help as not on that pay grade but mine was wrong and I'm having money repaid to me, so it is worth finding out for sure! When I phoned payroll they were very helpful. My county has an NEU WhatsApp group where people ask questions like that - there might be one for your area?

Thank you for replying. It’s been stressing me out all day! I’ve emailed the NEU.

Hopeful bump.

Well either they will have taken 1 day FTE off of your pay- so that would be about £106. (38,810/36)

Or they may have taken 1 day of 0.6 which would be about £61

IF you are paid on M6 (not London allowances or TLRs) ((38810 / 365)-40%)

Although I'm i the same position as you and they took somewhere in between = I have no idea why - and I'm not sure I want to complain as they could end up taking more?!

Silentmama · 27/04/2023 22:55

TYPO - (38,810/365)

Takeachance18 · 28/04/2023 20:54

NEU advises this For part-time teachers the employer can deduct 1/365th of the Full Time Equivalent (FTE) salary for each day of action as this is what the member would have been paid for that day

SummeryAF · 28/04/2023 22:39

So it turns out they worked out a daily rate rather that 1/365 which is significantly more money. I think they understand though now and will sort it!

Glad you got it sorted! I am 0.6 on M6 and lost around £61 as another PP said.
