Job in school admissions?

Does anyone work in school admissions? Thinking of applying for a job but don’t have any school admissions experience. Is it a nice job? Any pros or cons? Any help and advice much appreciated. Thanks.

It is a mixed bag.

Quite a lot of criteria and legislation to follow and apply. Appeals to attend.

Really good people skills needed, to be able to listen and communicate clearly, explaining the criteria to others
Skills required in being able to de-escalate.
Children are precious, everyone wants what they think is best for their own. Unfortunately, this can't always happen.
