Struggling with the thought of going in tomorrow

Just having a whinge really. Due to long covid not going away I have to hand back my tlr, which I love and feel I have made a real positive impact. But I just can’t do it and I need to prioritise my health.

Just feel that covid has won and given my age that the door to career progression has now closed.

I through having made a decision and written the letter I would feel better but just feel so defeated today and really not looking forward to tomorrow at all.

Sorry to hear that, I think accepting that you're not fit to do something can be tough, but it is important to look after yourself.

Focus on your classes for now. It's always possible to make a positive impact in schools, even if it's on a smaller scale.

I'm so sorry to hear this.

Would your TLR be doable if you were given more time or if something else was taken off your plate?

If it's something the school really value, perhaps they'd be open to some negotiation?

If not, I hope you're able to enjoy being a class teacher, at least?
