All teachers on strike. TAs to cover the children in?

All the teaching staff of our school ( except the head) are striking tomorrow. Children ok key workers are in. Should TAs be asked to cover/ supervise these children?

I know it's a little bit late now, but you should refuse to do anything other than your normal duties. All the main TA unions will back you on this. If you're not in a union, I strongly recommend you join- NEU, Unison and GMB all represent TAs, I believe.

I know it's difficult to afford the fees on a low wage, but the union will support you in situations like this as well as others where your head puts you under pressure to do something you're not comfortable with.

Yes, there was an agreement between the main unions saying they wouldn’t cover striking workers. Heads are not being reasonable if they are asking that.
