The misery of assembly

Been back 2 days and I'm miserable and exhausted already. Had 2 meetings in 2 days and 2 more over rest of week. Stressed and prepping an assembly tonight- seriously why am I doing this job?! I hate doing whole school assemblies anyone else?

Feel for you. Assemblies are a chore and take up more time than they’re worth. I just take year group ones weekly- about 155 pupils- and reuse a lot of them annually. Returning from mat leave is so hard. Go as easy as you can on yourself. I know that is almost impossible though.

Sorry thought you returned from maternity but realise you meant mid term!!
