Striking teachers & their own children

Hi everyone,

Apologies if this has already been covered somewhere. If so, please could someone link.

If you are striking, are you planning on sending your own children into school? The Headteacher has messaged parents to say that the school will remain open. However, as a striking teacher, should I keep them at home? Am I undermining my own action by sending them in - or is it the opposite??

Thank you for your thoughts!

I'm sending mine to school but I do recognise the dilemma.

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking the same but wasn’t sure whether that was the right thing to do!

Send them in. The point is to cause disruption to make a point about the value of teachers.

Thank you. That’s what I’m going to do.
