What would you do in my shoes?

I'm a teacher in Ireland so currently on mid term break. I'm a little over 8 weeks pregnant and I'm in my early 40s. We have one child and it's a bit of a miracle this has happened. My dilemma is this. I'm quite ill at the moment and I'm wondering whether to get signed off next week to give mini fluffy diamond a good chance. Trying to get to 12 weeks. Taking next week off would get me to ten. I would have to go in after that because kids have classroom assessments that I can't in good conscience neglect. Or, should I go in on Monday and see how I go? As we all know though, it's a busy, stressful environment. If you were me, what would you do?

Congratulations.
In your shoes I would take the time off. At the end of the day - it’s only a job. I did similar when I was pregnant with my eldest and signed off for a lot of my pregnancy and I was part of the slt at the time. I don’t regret it at all. If you’re ill, you’re ill. All the best.
