Working through the holidays - anxiety

Just feeling really anxious about returning to work tomorrow for the start of the term. I am a secondary drama teacher and I haven't touched any work over the half term, as I need the break to focus on well-being - last term was definitely intense.

Though I have all my lessons sorted for tomorrow, now the evening is drawing in I am starting to feel that panick that I should be doing jobs.. even though there's nothing urgent I need to do for tomorrow!

Just looking for some reassurance as the Sunday anxiety sets in.

I am with you, last term was my worst in a very long time, been teaching longer than 10 years and it was tough.

I cried yesterday morning as I don't want to go back - last time I was like this I jacked my previous career in...... nearly 20 years ago so not as flightly as I sound!

I am going with plastering on a smile and taking it a day at a time.

I cried on Thursday. I had tried to rest earlier in the week but the thought of going back was too much. Been teaching for 18 years now but I think I’m done. I just can’t continue working every evening, weekend and holiday. I feel really quite depressed about the job now.
