To find the role of DSL draining

Does anyone else feel that the role of DSL is stressful?
How do you keep yourself going?
Would you consider resigning from your role if this was one of your (many) responsibilities?

I know it is half term and brains and bodies are relaxing but just thought I'd ask.

I find it has peaks and troughs....sometimes its okay but other times its really really not.

I think it largely depends on the team/support you have in place around you and, if thats not right, the scope for changing that?

No scope for change so moving on instead.

I could not do it. I am a UPS teacher with other responsibilities but I would never accept being the DSL. Even as a teacher, I find safeguarding the worst aspect of my job as I am terrified of making a mistake.

It is a big role and in my opinion it should be a sole role. It should not be tagged on to twenty other things that you are expected to do. That is when mistakes happen!
