Who is woefully underprepared? I've coloured in my timetable (priorities) and filled in the dates in my planner until Christmas but that's it! Need to put new backing paper on my display boards, label the book boxes, get exercise books and texts for all my groups and tidy my desk as the very bare minimum. Ideally I'd to a bit of medium term planning but hey ho I have four hours on Monday and Tuesday, which is when the magic is gonna happen! I have a shiny new pencil case with a full rainbow of "writing felt tips" so what could possibly go wrong?!😅

Disclaimer (especially for any non-teaching folk that stray here by mistake): this is light-hearted, I have taught everything on the curriculum at least once and this is my seventh year at the school. I'll be fine. Just need to know I'm not the only slacker😂

I've done none of those things. That'll wait til Monday!

I have taken a huge sack of bird seed to school, put it in my office, and filled up the bird feeders.

Sometimes, watching the birds use the feeders is the best part of my day. There is also an occasional cheeky squirrel who guzzles from them 🐿

I opened my laptop today, then promptly shut it again. I'm doing a slot in our inset on Monday (only to the department, so it's ok) and I haven't thought about it yet lol. I can rustle that up tomorrow.

I have done nothing over the summer. I'll stay late after inset on Monday to put up backing paper and important notices on my form notice board. Last year's displays still look ok on the other boards.

Reception teacher here, I've done 3 days setting up my classroom so should feel ready but I wasn't involved in any of the book/peg label preparations so I feel like I don't know the children's names at all, also have no idea what we're doing this first week but it'll all work out fine I'm sure 🙏

Uh oh, I'm screwed in that case! Just found out I'm prediabetic so no sugar for me. I think I need a new job😂
