Qualified in July, primary.

Can't get a ECT so doing supply TA. Started today and so disappointed to not be the teacher.

Where are all the vacancies? Restricted myself to ks2 initially (mistake). Got 4 interviews, no success, different feedback each time. Eg didn't sell myself enough, not enough experience.

Some on my scitt course got jobs but not all of us so I'm not alone with this.

So disheartened. I wanted to be setting up my room, planning, organising and getting excited for Monday. I love teaching and just want to get started. Time is not in my favour (career change).

How long are you committed to doing supply TA? Supply teaching Is a good way to get to know lots of schools in your area and can lead to a permanent job.

Come South! Too many jobs and not enough teachers.
