Repeated calls - How to stop this?

Hi all,

This has happened twice in recent memory so it's getting a bit frustrating. I've called home to discuss an event with a parent and a senior member of staff has already called and said everything I intended. I realise this is an internal communication error amongst us staff, is this a general issue? Do you keep a record of your outgoing calls to parents? How can I stop this from happening in future without sending extra emails to really busy staff?

Why are your SLT doing your calls?
I mean, all communication gets referred to the class teacher at our school in the first instance. Even when parents try to get around this by contacting the head directly, it gets referred back to the class teacher. It's only if I have requested that I would like a member of SLT present during a conversation that I'd expect them to join in.
We are a four-form-entry primary school.
