Yes! Loads, I was shocked looking the other day. Where are you? I’m in West Yorkshire ..

LanaSQ · 07/03/2022 21:49

I'm in the north east, but also see North Yorks and York advertisements.

In the last five years, my previous school have got through 2 Heads and are now seeking another. It's crazy!

Meandmini3 · 11/03/2022 21:46

I’m a deputy who should be applying for headships. I’m leaving teaching instead.

Crazy amounts in Gloucestershire right now.

And DHT's I know are leaving too. If they are staying they are not applying for headship. I don't blame them, far too much risk and pressure.

Even our most dedicated HT's are going, we've had some real surprises this last week.

Yes lots here and no applicants either. Why would you?

MrsTumbletap · 22/03/2022 22:06

So so many it's shocking. There must be 25 near me, I'm in the south east.

Our amazing head has just stepped down - I think though they would have gone earlier except they stayed to steady the ship during Covid. I wonder if lots of others did the same so you are effectively getting three years of heads leaving all at once?
