Going to try and keep this as simple as possible! Was asked to have a telephone call to discuss some matters in my previous school. Had about 30 mins convo with a senior member of the trust. I now have a 'transcript' which I've been asked to sign. OK so far? However the 'transcript' consists of two lines directly concerning the failings of one member of SLT staff in one area.
The actual conversation was much broader than just discussing this one person. There are many failings in the school and the failures of this one person were more a symptom of the wider issues in SLT - he was given a role where he really needed a solid mentor, not just training and told to get on with it.
There is nothing inaccurate in what I said so do I just suck it up, sign and return it or do I question why everything else was ignored?
Full disclosure, I no longer work there but I do have a son there.
Ugh, I feel I'm being used as the killer stroke, he did cock a very important thing up which affects students directly. However, he wasn't alone in his incompetence.
