My friend is a TA in a regular primary school. She works across a few different classes and supports those children with additional (often undiagnosed) needs. The problem is that she is frequently being hit or hurt by a few of the children that she cares for and understandably, she is very upset and it is affecting her.
There seems to be very little support from the head/SLT and they don’t seem keen to report it/put things in the accident book for fear of it triggering an Ofsted visit.
Can anyone offer any advice on what the official procedures should be and have any of you experienced this - what did you do?
