Struggling to find a job!

Hi everyone,

I am a NQT I qualified slightly before covid started November 2019. I worked supply for a little while then lockdown started. I started applying for job this summer thats just passed as I wanted to do a year of supply for my own confidence before I take a class by the reigns.

I have since applied for lots of jobs but I have no luck with landing an interview. I don’t know how to improve my personal statement in order to get a interview. I really want to start my own journey as a Teacher now. Can anyone help me with this?

Have you had any interviews? What is your CV and applications like, you need as much detail as possible in the application questions. Have you had any lesson observations done before an interview?

I Haven’t had any observations since I qualified but I was thinking maybe it is my statement that is not quite right. I wanted to share it with someone so they could give me pointers on how to improve it.

I was told to go for impact statements on my letter - I did... and the impact on attainment/engagement/etc was...
So don't just say for example I started a clinic with a focus on exam technique, say I started a clinic with a focus on exam technique and as a result the average grades of students increased by 10%, for example

I'm happy to look at your letter, every job I have applied for I have been interviewed for and I have worked with trainees
