Any recommendations for a good winter coat as I'm freezing already! Something water proof but very smart looking. TIA

I'm not sure about coats, but my recommendation would be layers. It's currently getting colder in my classroom as we have to have the windows open. I'm wearing a long sleeved thermal top under my dress with a cardigan on top. Then thermal socks under thick tights, with ankle boots. I've also got some fingerless gloves to keep my hands warm and a scarf if needed. On days I need to be outside I have a waterproof coat with a zipped in fleece if it is raining, otherwise I wear my longer and smarter duffel coat which is warmer but not waterproof.

Last year these layers were sufficient to keep me warm, but if needed I can add more!
