Non vaccinated teachers and isolating?

In your schools are staff who are not vaccinated isolating if in contact with a case? In other words are your school doing test and trace or are you waiting to hear from the official test and trace? They don’t seem to be contacting schools

School contact doesn't count as close contact anymore.

Mixed message from DfE, but schools should still contact trace staff as though they are a workplace and ask staff to isolate if they need to. It is not legally binding unless contacted by test and trace. Workplaces can contact the workplace hub

Thank you, that’s what our school have decided but I just wanted to check. We have quite a lot of unvaccinated staff, were they also to isolate it would cause complete chaos as we are already struggling to get supply…

Thanks – the messages certainly are mixed! Tried talking to county about it on Friday but they wouldn’t commit one way or the other about whether or not we should be telling mom vaccinated staff to isolate
