Can we have a 'what we're doing in the hols' thread

Staffroom is the only safe place to post this 😂 but I love a good 'what are we doing in the holidays' thread!

I'll start! We (me, DH and DS who is 7) are away for the first two weeks in Devon. Booked quite a few things plus we will go on the beaches/walk/chill. Really looking forward to that.

Once home, probably some nice local walks/picnics in parks.

We will invite DS friend to play.

See family.

Relax at home.

Give the house a good deep clean and tidy!

DS has some lego we want to build (big set).

Not sure what else yet. Must sort my summer reading out!

Aiming to sort my first week's planning before term ends and then I can just relax over summer

What is everyone else planning?

10 days away with dh and dc x2. Then parents visit for 1 week- lots of days out- booked a few already.

Gardening, playing Lego, playgrounds, kids playdates. Booked kids into summer scheme for a day and going to do all planning then. We dont hear about class groups until very late in school so not sure will get it all done.

Summer reading is a good idea.

I'm so excited!

Then week before new term I'm determined to batch cook, organise uniforms, admin buts- basically my life! Before it all starts again!

Last day of term I will most definitely be off out with my favourite coworker for drinks!!

We have a week booked in a caravan in Wales and will also go camping for 4/5 days sometime in Aug.

It is my birthday and DS birthday over the holidays, hoping to go to local theme park on DS birthday and have his school friends over for a garden party at the weekend.

I have two books I'm dying to read (been sitting in my drawer for months)

Beach days, park days, play areas etc.

Looking forward to a few lie ins and lunches with my other close friends who are also teachers.

I've been super organised this year and have most of my September prep sorted already so hoping to just pop into school 1 day over the 6 weeks to make sure everything is ready!
