Urghhh, you e just become too expensive. Contact your union and negotiate a decent payout in return for them accepting your resignation. Take some time off and sign up to some supply agencies when you're ready. You will quickly find a supportive school that wants you. I've seen this happen over and over again. I think it's best to go quietly into the night and find happiness and job satisfaction elsewhere.

It’s a shame. Women (but not only) in the 50+ age bracket on UPS are particularly vulnerable to ‘purge’. I was asked to support one member of stuff through their plan but I refused. She was a good teacher and I couldn’t look at myself in the mirror if I did. Unfortunately they still forced her out but it took one year longer. I hate heads who do this and teachers who participate in the process and help them ‘improve’.
