Hi folks,
We are trying to fill some of the gaps caused by fractured learning for the children in the last year.
I am hoping to do a rotation system whilst I take the register in the morning with some children writing to help with hf words, number bond work, shape work, WordShark for emerging readers.
I need one more thing for the rotation of 5 groups. My mind has gone blank.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

Fine motor? We're having to do a lot more gross & fine motor work than we normally would.

A phonics reading activity... buried treasure or similar?

Or just free writing - news writing to build up their sentence structure & stamina etc.

Handwriting/letter and number formation

I have a daily ppt with writing numbers days of the week, the alphabet, write a sentence and months of the year to practise. The Chn come in and complete the activities in their morning books

Thank you! I hope the things I put in place will help them move toward yr 2. It feels like it is coming too fast for them.

Also have a look at number sense maths... you need to teach it too (we use a 10-15 min daily session) but then use the activities as morning jobs.
