I’m a SCITT trainee and my placement school was under a horrid dictatorship. I can honestly say I’ve never been happier. Basically a few shi**y things said were:
-you’re replaceable just remember that (said to all staff)
- I have ADHD and when I was in school once and dropped in to let her know. he said “yeah alright” then that was it. I just wanted to let her know because it’s a big bone of contention for me in terms of stress and what I can take on. It needs to be gradual. Also the reason I went to her was because he called me for a meeting about expectations of placement
- he used to say to staff in the staffrooms if you’re not going to do your job then just go or I’ll get rid of you.
- big issue was he called a whole department (science) and told them “get your a** in” we’re obvs under restrictions for corona so it’s technically not allowed.
- after this he vanished. No where to be seen or heard. I think it was under some serious investigation.
-a lot of people seemed scared of him too so it’s actually a good outcome. There’s no way you can talk to your teams this way.
