How the bloody hell do you access a Forms assessment set by someone else?

Just that - I've been tearing my heart out trying to do it.

When you say ‘access’ do you mean to see the student submissions?
The person who created the form needs to press ‘share to collaborate’.
If they just press ‘share’ then all you get is the link and the opportunity to complete the form (once) yourself!

Yes, that's it. I'm not sure I've had any kind of link at all - will look now.
