Healthy NHS staff working from home prioritised over CEV teachers!

Why is this happening?! I’m CEV so am currently shielding and remote teaching but I have colleagues in school who are CV and/or BAME/over 60 who are being exposed to COVID cases every day without medical grade PPE (just low grade masks they have to purchase themselves) and zero social distancing (we are early years)

I used to work in the NHS (not front line) and have many friends across all areas in the NHS. Even the perfectly healthy young ones who have been working from home since February and will be until at least the Autumn have now been jabbed.

This is crazy 😔

It's mad isn't it. My friend who is a fit and healthy social worker has just had a jab, she's been wfh and seen no clients in person since last April!

Absolutely agree, I'm a CV EYFS teacher in a special school. Partner wfh doing an office job for the the NHS and is getting vaccinated next week ?? He was as incensed as me and offered not to take the jab but as he can't transfer it to me that seems pointless and he may as well be vaccinated. I just can't understand why they are prioritising desk-based people that have no patient contact at all ...
