Mentor meetings via zoom or google docs?

My mentor just asks me to send in my notes via a google doc noting what I’ve observed. Does anyone else’s mentor do similar? Should I be asking to do it via zoom?

It's quite normal to submit or provide a copy of work you've been asked to carry out as part of your training.

Giving in information, which can be recorded as evidence of your learning or reflections, needn't be extended to a virtual meeting if a discussion isn't required.

A Google doc does, however, have the advantage of your mentor being able to add comments or questions to the same document, where necessary, so it can be used as a dialogue.

Agreed it's quite normal. I am meeting my NQT weekly still -either in person when we are in school or through teams. We are still doing our mentor meeting notes/evidence file and he is still sending me anything he does so that I have it.

As trainee or NQT you will still be assessed and still need to demonstrate you are meeting the standards in the current context.
