Ideas for work/life balance (or just surviving) teaching from home?

Hi all,

I hope everyone is holding up well (or at least better than I am!)

I'm just after some advice. After one week back at school (primary), I'm on my knees already. Expectations at my primary are: instructional videos for every lesson, live marking, phonecalls home every few days, live assemblies each day, planning... We've also just been told we will be required to teach live as well within the next week or so. So few of the children are completing the work, so a good amount of time is taken up 'chasing' them and parents over the phone.

Does anyone who feels they are coping with this 'new normal' have any golden advice as to how to manage workload? Hint, tips and virtual bottles of gin all welcome.

Wine helps. We have been doing live lessons all week and it does get easier the more you do them. We have also been using LSAs to do the phone calls home if that's an option?

It seems we're on the same page - our wine rack is fully stocked in anticipation of the weeks ahead! We don't have any TAs, so sadly that isn't an option for me. So glad that live teaching gets easier - quite frankly, things couldn't get much tougher!
