Support role in independent school

I work in a state secondary school in a support role and am thinking of applying for a similar job in a fee-paying school.

Does anyone have any advice? I'm state school educated and have no experience in the private school sector.

The job will be the same ... the parents may be different!

It would be a no from me!! Good luck though. Kids and parents will be very different, guess it depends on your skill set.

What area is the role in, eg finance / admissions / reception / marketing / HR / business manager etc - might help to be a little more specific.

I am a teacher and moved state to private. Much is the same really. Parents challenging in different ways. There is quite a spectrum in independent schools as in state from Eton and Harrow to small local day schools.
