Going back to teaching after six years.

I left teaching after my first child and have only taught part time for two terms in the last 6 and a half years. What I’m wondering is how unfavourably is that viewed by heads? I’m not feeling particularly confident about applying for anything at the moment and wondered what people thought. I’m primary, mostly did year 5 and 6 and in the upper pay scale.
TIA

Hi,
I had 9 years out to be at home with tge children...
I was so nervous about going back!
I rang my old head to ask for a reference and ended up going back there part time for a few years.
I was so lucky as I asked for and got 10-2:30 so that I could still do school runs! A new head arrived and wasn't happy with it, so I did supply for a bit, but only in one school and I now teach there part time.
Good luck!
