Is it the end of term yet?

We've been back from half term for 1 week and it already feels like it should be the end of term. I work in a secondary school and the staff are all knackered. The students are all tired and the behaviour is getting worse and is similar to what it is like at the end of term.

It's going to be a long term and there isn't even a Christmas night out to look forward to Sad

I'm also secondary and it does feel like last week was long!

For me, it's keeping up with the restrictions plus students isolating so needing work and staff isolating (thankfully none last week in my faculty but before half term was ridiculous - I'm 2nd in faculty so it falls to me to organise cover etc.).

Behaviour for me hasn't been too bad last week but my Y11/13 in particular are not working hard enough and it's stressing me out!

Planning seems harder as I am trying to make lessons that I can also upload for isolaters.

Then there is the usual thing of curriculum development and moving things forward- obviously still needs to be done but on top of everything else is hard going.

This may sound a bit cheesy but I have started making myself note down a positive or two from each day to look at when it gets hard. Just reminds me of why we do it!

Flowers it's tough at the moment!
