I've started a new trend at work, and want to spread it to teachers everywhere!

At our school (secondary) kids are staying in their tutor room all day and teachers are moving from class to class. After three days of unsuccessfully trying a backpack, tote bag and plastic box, the solution dawned on me.

A nappy caddy!

Well, it worked better than I ever thought it would, and a few of my colleagues asked what it was. At first I thought they were taking the piss, but I played along and sent a teaching staff email out with the amazon link and a jokey endorsement disclaimer.

Now 7 other teachers have one, and the head teacher has offered to buy them for anyone who wants one/reimburse anyone who has bought one! Who would have thought!?!

I don’t know what you mean; can you post the link? I might need whatever it is!

What can you fit in it? Looks good!

I've been using a cleaning caddy. Similar idea and big enough for planner, flask and quarantined worksheets as well as board pens etc.

Currently I've got a calculator, hand sanitiser, disinfectant, a pack of tissues, pens and pencils, scissors, glue, ruler, board pens and board rubber in the outside pockets. One inside section holds a travel mug of tea and bottle of squash, another holds my planner and random paperwork and the other has my visualiser and phone in it. I carry an expanding file for worksheets etc.

Amazing. Going to a role without a classroom base so I’m going to jump onboard. What size is yours @Stepawayfromtheminirolls ? I’m assuming it’s large.

PoodleMoth · 01/10/2020 18:28

That is brilliant! I have been carrying stuff around in the cardboard lid off the box the printer paper comes in-definitely not as practical!!

Thanks for the tip! Is yours a small or large op?
