Burnt out already. Can’t even be bothered to fill out an application form.

I have been working part time (primary teaching) since having my DD 4 years ago and I fancy a change. For various reasons, I just want a fresh start in a new school but I’m so deeply tired after 4 years of juggling my DD with part time teaching in a mixed year group class that I’m lacking motivation and energy to even fill out an application form. I feel that my ambition has just fizzled to nothing and I need a huge rest before getting a new job.
I also worry that with a new job I’ll have to be really on the ball and possibly not be there for my DD as much.
Sorry to rant, I just feel so flat about everything and whatever I do, I’ll not be applying myself somewhere whether it be with my marriage, my DD, the housework, the garden, my friendships, my physical health or my job.

Has anyone got this sussed?!

I feel the same! Juggling too many balls.

Can you afford to have some time out of work?

Have another baby? I’m not joking.

Yes! Have been there and got the teeshirt! I am doing supply at the moment and have to say I am loving it. I am doing both TA and teaching supply despite having 17 years teaching experience! It takes a little while to get into different schools but once they know you, schools will often request for you to come back. Best of all, you can make the decision not to go back to any schools that you don't enjoy. I am no longer as stressed as before and am getting quality family time in the evening as not taking any work home. Its an option you should look into X

Thank you so much. I’ll look into supply.
Glad I’m not alone!
Definitely don’t want another baby, I’m still exhausted from the first!

I am completely with you on this. Also currently teaching mixed age, add in the covid complications and I just don't want to be there.
