I work in a very large international school, but with few positions of responsibility. I hold one, but not sure it would be useful in the UK as it is not generally a position UK primary schools would have.
When I return to the UK (in approx 2 years) I would like to go into some position of responsibility- ideally aiming for a head of EY or KS1 or as a Deputy Head.
Don't want to write my whole CV but have been teaching in EYFS/ KS1 for 20 years (UK and abroad in British Curriculum schools), been assistant head of year (200 pupils per year in that school), head of year (100 pupils per year in that school), Head of English in 3 different schools, (the largest of which meant I oversaw 800 pupils' English provision).
There are some niche English courses I would like to do personally, but I wondered about more practical "I can do leadership stuff" type ones. I have always been fairly "anti" these and now swallowing my words as I want something recognisable to the Governors who may not see the value in my "diverse" experiences...!
