Just finished the second of our year 10 summer school sessions and do you know what? Yes, much of the nonsense that goes with the job is awful sometimes but strip it down and it's awesome. Somebody pays me to talk to people about my favourite thing all day! It's the dream.
This is what's missing from lockdown teaching. It's not the same in the slightest.
Teaching, in front of a class, rocks.

What a lovely, postive post SmileFlowers

I felt the same when I was working with a group of Y10s in June. The interaction you get with young people is amazing! Mine had some independent work to do at one point and I asked if they wanted the radio on - nope, they wanted horrible histories songs on! We had them on and had a great timeGrin

There are rubbish/stressful bits but I agree with you, for the right people, teaching is the best job ever!

I don't actually know any teacher who hates their job, much as the lobbyists would have it that we obviously do, so we should resign.
