Any teachers in Wales prepared to help me campaign to have keyworker children included in September please?

I've mentioned this before but my DCs' school won't assure me that they'll be taught in September. We're having to do without childcare for now, so they can access their check in day. The childcare arrangements in school are for online learning supervised by a TA with no opportunity for interaction with their friends or teacher.

I have a Senedd petition on the go but I don't want to post it as it includes my name. If you'd sign it for me, please would you DM? I'm asking for schools in Wales to plan for all children to be included in class in September. Key workers who aren't school staff can't even have a childcare place in school as it stands - it's at the leisure centre with NVQ qualified childcare worker.

I'm a teacher by the way, not teacher bashing. I just don't want my children to lose out while I do my job.

What is the Welsh September plan? Have they ruled this out?

The plan is blended learning (the current model) so I don't know when my children will be taught or even included. There's a lot of variation - in some areas KW children are allowed in class. I worry about the calibre of leadership that doesn't see a problem with this.

They really don't know what their plan is atm. The Welsh minister said she'd grab the chance to have all pupils back in Sept (if safely) with both hands, but is planning for a range of scenarios.

Problem being they say they will give us 3 weeks notice. But clearly that's not 3 school weeks notice and the shit is going to hit the fan mid summer holidays re the planning for the return.

I do feel that keyworker children should be able to access the childcare in the hub and their day (as it stands at the moment) in class. After all, the teacher can swap between different groups all week, so I don't see why the kids can't go into their class for a day and then spend the rest of the time in the hub childcare if required.

@DrMadelineMaxwell, mind if I DM you my petition please?

The silly thing is, they suggest I take the DCs to the school where I work, where I'm teaching 45 pupils per week and there are many more around; then they can go into their own class at school. I can't do that because I teach secondary and my school would struggle to accommodate them, but where is the scientific thinking in that scenario?
