What would you mind if one of your pupils wrote a school report about you?

Sorry to invade staff room but want your opinion before this is actually done.

DS (7) wants to write school reports for his teachers. He says he wants to email them to school. He's just dictated the following to me and hopes to write more!!

Mr. Smith should stop making personal comments about people's appearance and tuck his own shirt in.

Mr. Bloggs is excellent at maths but I'm worried his not read a book all term.

Mr. Jones is great at making people run about during PE but he needs to do more of it himself. He's usually a lovely man but spends a lot of time standing about shouting at us.

So if one of your pupils did this to you would you mind?

Point made I think op Grin
But I wonder if, rather than doing something else completely you could turn this into an activity where you teach your ds about kindness. He meant his comments to be funny, but they might not have been perceived that way. Why not work with him on a school report about his teachers that focusses on all the good things? Their sense of humour, patience and support. A thank you letter in a fun format basically. His staff could probably do with a boost and it would teach your ds a good life lesson.

I can't believe you're even asking.

You think it's ok for your child to insult his teacher's personalities and appearances.

Would you think it was alright to do to any other profession?

This is one of the worst things I've read on here. I would be devastated if this happened to me and I know my colleagues would be too.

If he wanted to write to say thank you to his teachers and give a personalised compliment, that would be lovely.

Not sure where he has got the idea from that his rather rude and offensive personal opinions are appropriate to send to his teachers.

Teach him some manners and respect.

Oh gosh, they're extremely rude. I would be upset.
