How much are school staff meant to socially distance from each other?

I am asking because I have seen plans for school staff to have some kind of lunch together during preparation for opening. Is this really meant to be happening? I don't see how bubbles of 15 pupils plus teacher/TA will be effective if the staff are all mixing.

We aren't allowed to mix. We turn up just before the students, collect any photocopying that has been done (we can't use prntres and photocopiers) go to the room(s) to teach and leave again. Apparently. We are in for a maximum of 4 hours and have no access to common areas like staff rooms and kitchens. Limited toilet access that we can only use in the 15 minute rolling break that will happen at some point and is supervised by SLT (form a bit of a distance).

@MaryBerrysBomberJacket I certainly do hope you mean that SLT are supervising the kids at break rather than overseeing staff toileting....

Thanks for your reply MaryBerry. That's the kind of thing I would hope is being put in place but the rest of the staff just don't seem to be bothered. I'm really concerned.

We are told we should SD in the staff room or eat outside.

We've not been given any guidance or instruction and it's such a small school it's impossible to distance fully. We are being careful but it's down to us.
No bleaching of toilets etc.

Ermmm... They can't tell you you can only go the toilet once and when. Fairly sure that's indirect sexual discrimination.

Over the top in my opinion. What about all the people you mix with when you go to the supermarket, walk down the street etc?

We can’t mix. Two metres apart. I am planning on taking my lunch break outside with a book.

But are you all doing that now? So far we're mixing with staff when in with key worker children!

Agree NCTDN - we have been far more relaxed with the KW children, with different staff taking them on a rota, and staff walking in and out.
