hello,

i'm an emergency worker and the primary school my dds go to is generally amazing (small countryside school
with 18 kids per year class) and i have been. using the key worker child places when i have had to work and the staff have been amazing.

It is like heaven for my dds playing in the sun with teachers (football, bbq's, art and great lessons)

i would love to show my thanks - what sort of gift would you appreciate

Write a note and buy some coffee or tea for the staffroom.

We had a gift off an anaesthetist (felt it should have been the other way round!) to say thank you. It was a bag full of goodies - biscuits, cakes etc. I would love a bunch of flowers- they would mean so much.

Wine

@1moreRep I think the thank you should go from the teachers to you!

NCTDN · 10/04/2020 08:36

Personally I wouldn't appreciate wine though.

We've had biscuits and cake for the staffroom from some of our keyworker parents. We were really touched (and enjoyed eating them) but it did feel the wrong way round as the parents who have done it have all been NHS frontline staff; we should have been thanking them.

My DS is going into his specialist school after Easter and I'm sending posh soap and hand cream. I already sent some for DD's teachers before the schools closed and they were very pleased.
